BSF shoots B\\\'desh youth dead

LALMONIRHAT, July 9 (UNB): A Bangladeshi young man was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Lohakuchi border in Aditmari upazila in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayem Hossain Jammu (35), son of Sohrab Hossain, a resident of Talukdulali village of the upazila.
BGB and local sources said a team of BSF troops from West Chamta camp in Kuchbihar of India opened fire on a group of cattle traders when they were entering Indian territory to bring cattle from there at 3:30 am, leaving Sayed dead on the spot.
Other associates of Sayem, however, escaped from the spot with his body.
CO of BGB Battalion-15 Lt Col Bazlur Rahman Hayati confirmed the incident saying that they sent a letter to BSF protesting the incident and for holding a flag meeting.
