Call to resist fundamentalists to establish peace

National Prof Kabir Chowdhury Friday urged all to resist the war criminals and fundamentalists for establishing peace in society, reports BSS. He also called upon the youths to dedicate themselves to the service of humanity following the ideology of Mother Teresa. He was addressing a discussion on "The Contribution of Mother Teresa to the War of Liberation" in the auditorium of the Jatiya Press Club in the city. Besides, Mother Teresa Gold Medal awarding ceremony also was held, where 31 eminent personalities were awarded for outstanding contribution to different fields of society. Agriculture Minister Begum Motia Chowdhury was awarded gold medal for outstanding contribution to the agriculture sector while Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Dipu Moni was given gold medal for valuable contribution to the development of diplomatic relations. Chairman of Privatization Commission Dr Mirza Abdul Jalil, Justice Habibur Rahman Khan, executive director of the daily Destiny Mahmud Al Faisal, among others, addressed the function with President of Mother Teresa Research Council NA Karim Biddyut Chowdhury in the chair.
