Call to resist war criminals, militants

Prime Minister's media adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury called on Sunday for resisting the war criminals, fundamentalists and militants trying to hamper the ongoing trend of development, reports BSS.
"This is the right time to resist them," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a function to unveil a book titled 'Ganatantra O Unnayaone Janonetri Sheikh Hasina' (Jananetri Sheikh Hasina for Democracy and Development) edited by Jayonta Acharya at the National Press Club in the city on Sunday.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice-Chancellor Quamrul Hassan Khan spoke on the occasion as the main speaker while Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry Abdul Wadud Dara was present as the special guest.
Former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president Badiuzzaman Sohag, former general secretary Bahadur Bepari, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote President Golam Quddus, and former student leader Shafi Ahmed also spoke at the function, presided over by Dr Mahbubul Islam.
Iqbal Sobhan refuted BNP chief Khaleda Zia's claim in London that this government is illegal.
