Candidate's uncle killed in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Dec 28 (UNB): The uncle of a Jukta Front candidate for the national election was hacked to death by unknown assailants at Dakkhin Savar Char in Shibpur Upazila Sunday afternoon.
The dead was identified as Zakir Hossain (50), uncle of Advocate Jaglul Haider Afrik, a candidate for Narsingdi-1 constituency.
Local people said masked miscreants hacked Zakir Hossain to death in broad daylight and left the scene without any resistance at about 1.00 pm.
BSS adds: Leader of Jatiya Juktafront and President of Gonoforum Dr Kamal Hossain and chief coordinator of its election conducting committee Advocate Subrata Chowdhury Sunday condemned the killing of Zakir Hossain of Shibpur Upazila under Narsingdi district.
