CA's Fund receives Tk 50m more for flood victims

Twenty more government agencies, private organisations and individuals Saturday donated about Tk 50 million (4,99,17,115.36) to the CA's Relief and Welfare Fund for the country's flood victims, reports UNB.
Meanwhile, an amount of Tk 5.0 million (50 lakh) was allocated for Munshiganj while Tk 2.0 million (20 lakh) for Natore from the CA's Relief Fund for the flood victims.
Earlier on August 7, another amount of Tk 110 million (11 core) was allocated from the CA's fund for 15 flood-hit districts.
The 20 government agencies and organisations that donated the money include Miniseries of Industries, Home and Labour and Employment, Bangladesh Bar Council, Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha, BEPZA, Standard Chattered Bank, Uttara Bank Ltd, Jewelleague Farma Bangladesh Ltd, Angel Digitech and Tex Abo international Pvt Ltd.
Individuals and representatives of the respective organisations either handed over cheques and cash to Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed at his office Saturday.
The total amount of the money donated to the CA's Relief Fund in last seven days since August 04 rose to Tk 250 million (25,87,35,389.54) of which Tk 117 million (11.70 crore) was allocated for 17 flood-affected districts.
The CA thanked all for the donation.
