The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 on Wednesday set August 23 for submitting formal charge against 19 alleged Razakar kingpins from Maheshkhali of Cox's Bazar, reports BSS.
The second tribunal set the date allowing a time plea from the prosecution.
The investigation agency while probing the crimes committed by Cox's Bazar Razakar kingpins Salamat Ullah Khan, Abdur Rashid and Maulavi Jakaria, found the involvement of another 16 people with the crimes against humanity and acting on their plea, the tribunal had issued warrants to arrest them.
Meanwhile, the Inter-national Crimes Tribunal -2 ordered on Wednesday the authority concerned to publish advertisement in newspapers asking six fugitive accused from Jamalpur to surrender before the court.
The six accused are: Md Ashraf Hossain (64), Prof Sharif Ahmed (71), Md Abdul Mannan (66), Md Abdul Bari (62), Md Harun (58) and Md Abul Hashem (65).
The second tribunal on March 02 issued arrest warrants against eight alleged Al-Badr men from Jamalpur including those six. Police on that very day arrested their accomplices Advocate Shamsul Haque (70), and SM Eusuf Ali (83).
Justice Obaidul Hassan, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-2, passed the order asking the ICT registrar to publish advertisement in Bengali and English dailies. The accused have been asked to surrender before the court within seven days from the date of publishing the advertisement.
