A Dhaka court deferred on Wednesday once again until October 12 the hearing on charge-framing against 26 BNP leaders, including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in a case filed under the Speedy Trial Act, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrate Tarek Mainul Islam Bhuiyan passed the order when counsels for the BNP leaders sought time.
On August 10, the same court fixed September 3 for the hearing in the case filed with Paltan thana.
Fakhrul, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Dhaka city unit BNP convener Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Amanullah Aman, Barkatullah Bulu and Moazzem Hossain Alal appeared before the court on Wednesday.
Police filed the case for vandalising and torching vehicles and obstructing cops from discharging their duties on March 3, 2013.
