NATORE, June 12 (UNB): A cheating case was filed against three people, including Nadim Mostafa, a former BNP lawmaker from Puthia-Durgapur constituency in Rajshahi, and his wife Nurunnahar Parul.
Ali Hossain, a brickfield owner of Borogachha in the town, filed the case with the cognisance court Tuesday.
After accepting the case, the court asked the officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar police station to take necessary action in this connection.
Ali Hossain alleged that Nadim Mostafa bought bricks worth Tk 1.25 million from his brickyard without any payment. Later, he paid only Tk 0.20 million.
As he mounted pressure on him for the rest of the money, Nadim gave him a fake cheque of Tk 0.50 million, Hossain further alleged.
