CHATTOGRAM, July 24 (UNB): A Chattogram court on Thursday denied the bail petition of Chinmoy Krishna Das, spokesperson for Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatan Jagran Jote and a former ISKCON leader in five cases including a sedition case. Chattogram Metropolitan and Session Judge Hasanul Islam passed the order, said assistant public prosecutor Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury.
Advocate Apurba Kumar Bhatcharya stood for Chinmoy. Six cases were filed against him.
The other cases were filed for carrying out attacks on police, attacks on justice seekers, killing a lawyer and in connection with a bomb blast.
