Chittagong city now has 1,568,191 voters

CHITTAGONG, July 10: District Election Commission (DEC) office of Chittagong has published draft voter list of 41 wards under Chittagong City Corporation (CCC), where total number of voters has reached 1,568,191 with an increase of 429,873 voters.

Earlier, in 2000 number of voters was 1,138,318.

July 20 is the last date of submission of application mentioning any claim and objection, or seeking amendment to the published voter list, whereas July 30 is set for settlement of the applications.

Decisions to be taken on the basis of the applications received from the voters will be incorporated up to August 7, and final voter list will be published on August 19, DEC office sources said.
