BANDARBAN, Oct 15 (BSS): Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said on Thursday the crisis in the Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT) is being resolved following the implementation of peace accord signed on December 2, 1997.

"We want to develop the entire country together. None will be behind the development works," he said.

The minister came up with the remarks while talking to journalists after inaugurating the newly-constructed Thanchi Thana Bhaban in the district.

Department of Public Works implemented the construction work of the thana building.

The minister said Myanmar and India have borders with Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachhari and, therefore, border roads are being constructed to ensure security in the areas.

"More investment will come in the area after construction of the border roads. Many tourists will visit here to enjoy natural beauty," Kamal said.

Later, the minister along with his entourage members planted saplings on the premises of the newly-constructed Thana Bhaban.

The minister also laid the foundation stone of a Highlanders Park and Resort in Bandarban.
