City road crash kills Islamic Foundation official

An Islamic Foundation official was crushed to death by a speeding bus in the city's Kalyanpur area on Friday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam (40) son of Wahid Ali of Paschim Changhat village in Rangpur.

Rafique, a field supervisor of Islamic Foundation, came to Dhaka early Friday to attend a meeting at the Islamic Foundation's head office at Agargaon.

Hospital sources said a Gulistan-bound bus from Dhamrai hit him near Darus Salam Tower in Kalyanpur around 6am, leaving him dead on the spot.
