President M Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, different political parties and leaders expressed their shock and conveyed condolences at the death of Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad and valiant freedom fighter Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah.
Fazle Rabbi passed away at 2:00 am (BST) on Saturday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA at the age of 76, reports BSS.
In a condolence message, President M Abdul Hamid recalled the contributions of Fazle Rabbi Miah to conduct the House proceedings with skills and expertise.
President Hamid prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
In a message of condolence, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Fazle Rabbi Miah was involved in the movements against Ayub Khan and 1962's education commission and he fought in sector no-11 during the Liberation War."

A number of cabinet members also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Fazle Rabbi Miah, who was also a Member of Parliament from Gaibandha-5 constituency.
