BAGERHAT, June 23 (UNB): Police arrested a former female ward councilor of Morrelganj municipality along with Yaba pills from her house at East Sarail in the municipality area on Saturday.
Arrestee Nasima Begum, 45, wife of Zahangir Alam of the same area was on bail in several drug -related cases, said Md Rashedul Alam, officer-in-charge of Morelganj Police Station.
A team of law enforcers conducted a raid on her house in the guise of customers and detained her along with the contraband tablets.
