Alleging that the current regime is running the country with ‘Satan soul’, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday said the much-sought peace in the country will be restored with the fall of this ‘devil’. ‘This illegal government is running the state with Satan soul. The gentle breeze of peace will again blow in the country with the fall of this devil,’ he said. Rizvi came up with the remarks while addressing a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office. He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is unwilling to take any step to break the political deadlock though she is being harshly criticised both at home and abroad for illegally staying in office. ‘She can’t get down from the magic carpet of power in which she is flying.’ The BNP leader said it is known to all that the Prime Minister is now in power standing on the heaps of bodies and killings, and there is no other magic. Criticising the government for placing Jubo Dal president Syed Moazzaem Hossain Alal and other BNP leaders and activists on remand after their arrest, Rizvi said, ‘It’s part of the government’s deep-rooted conspiracy,’ according to bdnews24.com.
