October 18, 2007 00:00:00

Editor of the daily Janakantha Atiqullah Khan Masud was acquitted Wednesday of the charge of a cheating case as he paid the money to the complainant.
Masud is unlikely to be set free from prison as he faces some other criminal cases, reports UNB.
Complainant Rebeka Mahmud in her case had stated she paid Tk 0.98 million to Masud, owner of Globe Construction, for the purchase of an apartment. But he neither gave her the apartment nor did he refund the money.
