A Dhaka court on Sunday cancelled a plea of former minister Asaduzzaman Noor in a case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for amassing illegal wealth, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Faiz passed the order as Noor's counsel moved the plea before the court.
According to the case documents, the former minister amassed illegal wealth of Tk 53.7 million (5.37 crore) and kept that under his possession. The ACC also found evidences of suspicious transactions of Tk 1.58 billion in 19 bank accounts of Noor.
