Court rejects bail plea for Rizvi

A Dhaka court rejected on Monday a bail plea for BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed. The court also rejected a plea from police to allow them to take the BNP leader on a seven-day remand, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shamsul Arefin passed the order, allowing police to interrogate the BNP leader at jail gate within three working days.

Police filed the petition, pleading for allowing them to take Rizvi on remand in a case lodged with Khilgaon thana for vandalising, arson and subversive acts.
