A Dhaka court summoned BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Thursday for calling Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina 'a killer' and her party Awami League 'a party of killers,' reports UNB.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Adit Kumar Dey passed the order upon a petition filed by lawyer Shariful Islam on behalf of the complainant.
The magistrate also asked Mirza Fakhrul to be present in his court on January 22, 2015.
On September 1, SM Nur-e-Alam Siddique, vice-president of Awami Matsajibi League, lodged a complaint against the BNP leader with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court for his comments.
