CPA gets new secretary

CHITTAGONG, July 7: Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) gets its new secretary as Bangladesh Tea Board (BTB) secretary Zaker Hossain took up the post on Monday morning.

Director (Admin) of the port authority Muhibul Huq, having additional charge of the secretary of the CPA, handed over the responsibility to Mr Hossain on Sunday.

CPA chairman Nizamuddin Ahmed has said Zaker Hossain has taken the charge of the secretary. He served as additional deputy commissioner (revenue) of Chittagong and as an UNO in Gaibandha district.

The post of CPA secretary fell vacant as Syed Forhad Uddin Ahmed retired from the post in January last after serving for 11 years.
