CPB seeks ban on Jamaat

Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) urged the government Sunday to immediately ban 'war crimes organisations' Jamaat and Shibir and try all the war criminals ensuring their capital punishment, reports UNB.

"War crimes organisations Jamaat and Shibir must be banned, and the government must accept the mass demand for their trial," said CPB president Mujahidul Islam Selim.

He came up with the remarks after paying homage at the Martyred Intellectuals' Memorial at Rayerbazar and Martyred Intellectuals' Mausoleum.
