CPD trustees approve research programmes

The Board of Trustees of Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has endorsed research programmes in several fields including pro-poor macro-economic policy, trade liberalization and investment, jute and textile sector study, impact of flood 2007 and end-agenda of the WTO (world trade organisation) Doha Round.
The Board of Trustees took the decision in its 28th meeting Saturday with CPD chairman Rehman Sobhan in the chair, said a CPD press release.
CPD will also undertake a dissemination programme of its Vision 2021 document that was prepared by the Nagorik Committee 2006. In this connection, CPD will hold meetings with cross sections of the society, including political parties and the young generation.
The board also approved CPD's Research, Dialogue and Publication plan for the rest of the year 2007.
