CUMILLA, Dec 23 (UNB): At least five local leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) were injured as miscreants hurled crude bombs at an election campaign office in Nautola of Chandina upazila on Saturday evening.
The injured are Md Abdul Kader, 35, Wayer Ahmed, 22, Ibrahim Khalil, 18, Ruhul Amin, 40, and Moslem 60.
Several miscreants riding a microbus came in front of the office adjacent to Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 7:30 pm and hurled several crude bombs while an election meeting was going on there, leaving five AL men injured, said Mohammad Abul Faisol, officer-in-charge of Chandina Police Station.
