CUFL CBA chief awarded two yrs RI for cheating

CHITTAGONG, July 9 (UNB): The Speedy Trial Tribunal here Monday sentenced Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Limited (CUFL) collective bargaining agent (CBA) President Sultanul Azim to two years rigorous imprisonment (RI) and five Sramik Dal leaders also to serve four years in jail on separate charges.
In the first judgement, Metropolitan Magistrate Monwarul Islam sentenced CBA chief of the CUFL Sultanul Azim to two years RI for 'taking bribe in the name of giving job'.
The court also fined Azim Tk 10,000, in default, to serve six months more in jail.
