CWB delegation expresses concern to President about foreigners' activities

A delegation of Civic Watch Bangladesh (CWB) called on President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban in the city Thursday, reports BSS.

During the meeting, the members of the delegation apprised the President of their various activities.

They also expressed their concern to the President about the movements and comments by different foreign visitors in Bangladesh, which they consider to be violation of the existing laws and threat to the country's independence and sovereignty.

The President gave a patient hearing to the delegation and thanked CWB leaders for their consciousness about the country's sovereignty and independence.

He assured them of taking up the matter with the concerned authorities.

In this regard, he informed the delegation about the recent steps undertaken by the government against the foreigners' unlawful activities in Bangladesh.

The delegation included former Secretaries Muslehuddin Ahmed and NH Khan, former ambassador ABMA Salam, Managing Director of Transnational Consultants Limited MH Khan, advocate of Supreme Court Shehnaz Huda, Managing Director of ESHNA Consulting Team Shameem Ahmed Raihanuddin and Managing Director of ORG-QUEST Research Ltd Manzurul Haque.
