C'wealth Summit in London Apr 16-20

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2018 (CHOGM) will be held in London and Windsor on April 16-20, reports UNB.

The meeting will cement the shared aims of good governance, sustainable growth, and inclusive social and economic development, according to the Commonwealth headquarters.

The Commonwealth leaders will come together to reaffirm their common values, address the shared global challenges they face and agree how to work to create a better future for all citizens, particularly the young people, it said.

The Commonwealth is a diverse community of 53 nations that work together to promote prosperity, democracy and peace.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to attend the meeting during which she is likely to hold meetings with a number of leaders on the sidelines.
