The parliamentary standing committee on food ministry Tuesday expressed its dissatisfaction over the inordinate delay in constructing food silos on schedule. It also asked the authorities concerned to take legal action against the responsible contractors.
The committee also suggested that the ministry and directorate concerned should be more sincere in completing the project work within the schedule, and quicken the contractors' appointment process.
The suggestions came at the 3rd meeting of the committee at the Jatiyo Sangsad (JS). Committee chairman Abdul Wadud chaired the meeting.
