Delwar reiterates demand for lifting emergency

MANIKGANJ, Nov 21 (BSS): BNP Secretary General Khondaker Delwar Hossain today reiterated his party's demand for lifting the state of emergency and cancellation of Section 91 (e) of the Representation of People Order (RPO).
"The BNP is a pro-election party and it wants to take part in the polls," he said while addressing an extended meeting of the BNP and its front organisations of Manikganj-1 constituency.
Delwar said the BNP was voted to power three times.
Therefore, he said, the party is not afraid of elections.
The meeting was addressed by Shibganj Upazila BNP Convener Syed Mejbahuddin, Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal President Sohrab Hossain, and BNP leaders Advocate Mokhlesur Rahman, Jamilur Rashid Khan, Golam Mohiuddin Shipan, Advocate Abdul Hamid Dablu and Advocate Azad Hossain Khan.
