Delwar urges BNP men to strengthen party

BNP secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain has urged party leaders and workers to enhance cooperation among themselves and maintain contact with the people to further strengthen it, reports BSS.
"Those played courageous role during the bad days, must be evaluated," he said when a delegation of Habiganj district BNP and its front organisations called on him at his residence in the city Saturday, said a press release.
The delegation apprised the BNP secretary general about the overall political situation and organisational activities in Habiganj district.
The Habiganj district leaders included Advocate Afraj Afgan Chowdhury, Advocate Manjuruddin Ahmad Shahin, Enamul Haq, Shammi Akhtar Shikha, MG Muhit, Shamsul Islam Matin and Mahibul Islam Shahin.
BNP Office Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and other leaders including Sohrab Uddin, Nurul Kabir Shahin, and Mohiuddin Khan Mohan were present during the meeting, the press release added.
Meanwhile, the BNP secretary general has expressed deep shock at the death of former president of Joypurhat district BNP Dewan Abdul Hamid.
In a message of condolence, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
