Deposition against 147 BNP men deferred again

A Dhaka court on Monday deferred until January 11 next the recording of the deposition in a vandalism case filed against 147 BNP leaders and activists, including its joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, reports UNB.
Judge Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan of the Speedy Trial Court-6 fixed the date anew following a petition filed by some accused.
Several BNP leaders and activists, including former chief whip Zainul Abedin Farooque, were present at the court during the hearing.
Advocate Taherul Islam Touhid, lawyer of Farooque and M Shahjahan, said his clients filed a petition with the High Court against the charge-framing in the case.
