NETROKONA, April 3 (BSS): Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal has stressed the need to engage children in healthy cultural practices from an early age to keep them away from drugs and other social vices.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a certificate and prize distribution ceremony of Janata Cultural Academy on Kalmakanda Upazila Parishad premises on Friday.
The Deputy Speaker announced that a modern Shilpakala Academy would be established in Kalmakanda.
He also urged avoiding extravagance when organizing events, suggesting that money spent on expensive bouquets could instead be used to buy musical instruments for cultural organizations or to help the underprivileged.
