Dhaka dismisses press reports

Bangladesh Foreign Ministry dismissed on Saturday the Indian media reports that Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Abida Islam was summoned by the West Bengal Chief Minister, reports UNB.

"Attention has been drawn to some media reports about summoning the Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner by the Chief Minister of West Bengal today. The news is not based on fact," said a statement.

It said upon request from the Deputy High Commissioner, the Chief Minister of West Bengal has given her time to pay a courtesy call on the Chief Minister on September15.
