The country has been broadening cooperation with Myan-mar in a number of areas including trade and agriculture.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury said this while talking to reporters after holding a meeting with Myanmar Ambassa-dor in Bangladesh Nyan Lynn in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
In July the government is planning to send a delegation to be led by the secretary of the power division to Myanmar, followed by a team from the Agriculture Ministry, the adviser pointed out.
Chowdhury said trade is expanding between the two countries and already Myan-mar has increased its pharmaceuticals import from Bangla-desh.
Foreign office consultations between the two countries would be held in Dhaka shortly, he told newsmen.
The Myanmar ambassador said they discussed ways and means to further deepen the bilateral political and economic relations following the foreign adviser's visit to Myanmar last April.
