Diamond World MD on six-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed Dilip Kumar Agarwala, managing director of Diamond World, on a six-day remand in connection with a case filed over the murder of 16-year-old Hridoy Ahmed during the anti-discrimination student movement in the capital's Badda area, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain passed the order on Thursday as police produced him before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
On September 03, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Dilip from his office in the city's Gulshan area.
According to the case details, BNP activist Hridoy Ahmed, 16, was shot dead in front of BRAC University in Badda on July 19 while he was taking part in the mass uprising movement on July 19.
