General Secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh (M-L) and Chairman of Bangladesh-China Silk Road Forum Dilip Barua on Wednesday condemned Nancy Pelosi's recent visit to Taiwan.
Terming Taiwan an 'inalienable part' of China's territory and the Taiwan question purely an 'internal affair' of China, he in a statement said, "This move seriously violates the one-China principle, maliciously in fringes China's sovereignty and blatantly engages in political propagations."
He also said the visit of Ms Pelosi, speaker of the United States (US) House of Representatives, aroused strong indignation among the Chinese people and widespread opposition from the international community.
"It process once again that some US politicians have become the 'troublemaker' of China-US relations and that the US becomes the 'biggest destroyer' of peace across Taiwan Strait and for regional stability," he said.
In a separate statement, Bangladesher Workers' Party termed Pelosi's visit to Taiwan very provocative and at the same time fraudulent reckless act.
