DLA to hold nat’l convention tomorrow

The Democratic Left Alliance (DLA) will hold a daylong national convention at the National Press Club Auditorium in the city tomorrow (Friday) demanding due shares of 54 common river waters, including the Teesta, reports UNB.
Shuvangshu Chakrabarty, coordinator of the DLA comprising of eight left-leaning parties, revealed this while briefing reporters at Comrade Nirmol Sen Auditorium at Topkhana Road on Wednesday.
Shuvangshu said they have been on a continuous movement to press for various demands, including realising equal shares of waters of the international common rivers, establishing coordinated water management at regional level and protesting water aggression of India and what he said the subservient foreign policy of the Bangladesh government.
