\\\'Doctors to sit at community clinics one day in a week\\\'

Health and family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said Wednesday the government will make sure that the physicians attend minimum a day in a week at the community clinics to ensure health services to the village people, reports BSS.
"Health services are now reaching to doorstep to give health services to grassroots people in Bangladesh through setting up the community clinics," he said this as the chief guest while unveiling cover of a book tilled "Community Clinic-Health Revolution in Bangladesh" at a city hotel.
Describing installation of community clinics as the great achievement of Bangladesh, he said, "The entire world praised us for giving health services to the poor through community clinics."
With Health and Family Welfare Secretary Syed Manjurul Islam in the chair, it was also addressed by representative of World Health Organisation (WHO) to Bangladesh Dr Thushara Fernando, Director General (DG) of Health Directorate Prof Deen Mohammad Nurul Haque, DG of Family Planning Directorate Nur Hossain Talukder and project director of community health project Dr Makhduma Nargis.
Community clinics distributed medicines of around Tk 5.0 billion among the grassroots people and services to 6.0 million critical patients from 2009 to 2014, according to a report of the community clinics.
