Documents seized from KCC mayor's house in Khulna

KHULNA, Nov 5 (UNB): Joint forces, in another drive, seized some documents from the Gaganbabu Road residence of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Sheikh Tayebur Rahman Monday.
The drive was conducted in presence of two nephews of the mayor.
Earlier, on Sunday, joint forces seized Tk 1,64,200 in cash, five bottles of liquor, one foreign made pipe-gun, one shotgun, three sharp weapons, 25 bullets and some documents from his residence.
The KCC mayor was arrested from his Gulshan residence in the capital Friday night in an extortion case. So far, five cases, including of three extortion, have been filed against the mayor.
