Drastic change in education system stressed

Speakers at a meeting underscored the need for bringing about a drastic change to entire education system to rid it of militancy, reports BSS.
They were addressing a meeting on 'Professor Md Shamsul Haque Memorial Lecture' organised by Foundation for Research on Educational Planning and Development (FREPD) at Dhaka University campus Monday.
DU Vice-chancellor and FREPD Trusty Board Chairman Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique addressed the meeting as the chief guest while Economist Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmed attended as special guest.
Professor Salahuddin Ahmed delivered the memorial lecture titled 'Education and national development related thoughts" with FREPD president Professor Kazi Saleh Ahmed in the chair.
