Dhaka Sub-Editors Council (DSEC) has expressed deep concern over the shut down of Bangla daily Ajker Kagoj, reports UNB.
In a statement Wednesday, DSEC President Shah Muhammad Mutasim Billah and General Secretary Masum Billah said such a decision taken by the Ajker Kagaj authorities in the month of Ramadan and before Eid without prior notice is inhuman.
"This decision threw the journalists and employees of the daily and their family members into a great uncertainty", the statement said.
The DSEC leaders also urged the Ajker Kagaj authorities to immediately withdraw the decision for the sake of its journalists and employees.
