DU authorities have already announced the election schedule. The last date for submission of nomination papers Thursday.
DU teachers have geared up political activities ahead of the dean elections.
Candidates of two rival teachers' groups, ruling Awami League-backed Blue and Pink panels and opposition BNP-Jamaat-backed White, have begun their election campaign in full throttle.
Both panels have finalised the list of their candidates and submitted nominations Thursday. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is October 3.
Pro-Awami League and left-leaning teachers are busy with door-to-door canvassing among their supporters separately, while the White panel teachers have been mending fences among themselves to snatch maximum dean posts.
