JHENIDAH, June 4 (UNB): A student of Dhaka University (DU) was killed and four persons injured in a road accident in Gulshan intersection under Kaliganj Upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam, son of Jainal Bepari of Baghdanga village in the upazila and a master's student of Peace and Conflict Studies department of the university.
The accident took place in the area at around 11:00 am when a Kaliganj-bound human hauler carrying five passengers hit a stationary truck, leaving Aminul dead on the spot and four other passengers injured, said Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj thana.
The injured were Mini Khatun, Ritu Khatun, Sattar and Iqbal of the village.
