DU White Panel hails Tarique as BNP Chairman

The White Panel of Dhaka University (DU) has

congratulated Tarique Rahman on assuming office as Chairman of the BangladeshNationalist Party (BNP), reports BSS.

In a statement on Saturday, White Panel Convener Professor Dr Md Morshed Hasan Khan and

Joint Conveners Professor Dr Abdus Salam and Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam

Sarkar said Tarique Rahman was unanimously appointed full-fledged BNP

chairman by the party's National Standing Committee in line with the party constitution.They said his leadership has kept BNP well organised despite adverse

political conditions and expressed confidence that democracy and people's

voting rights would be restored under his leadership.
