Earlier on August 26, the court granted the CID four days to quiz Duke after they had arrested him on whether he was involved in the grenade attack of August 21 of 2004 on an Awami League rally.
Mr Duke has given new information about the involvement of different important persons in the August 21 grenade attack, according the remand report.
The investigation officer of the case, CID special superintendent Abdul Kahar Akand, mentioned that Mr Duke helped militant leader Mohammad Tajuddin, who supplied grenades for the attack, to fly back to Pakistan.
Tajuddin is the brother of Abdus Salam Pintu, a state minister of the ruling BNP government at that time.
The police is also said to have unearthed important information in this connection.
According to the case details, Lieutenant Commander Saiful Islam Duke (49), also the personal secretary to former prime minister Khaleda Zia, helped Tajuddin, one of the accused of the case, in flying to Pakistan.
