DUTA demands salary hike for teachers

The Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) Saturday demanded a hike for teachers' salaries and allowances and other professional facilities without delay in light of the spiralling cost of essentials, reports bdnews24.com.
A DUTA statement issued by its acting president Tazmeri SA Islam and acting general secretary Mamun Ahmed asked the government to boost the salaries of all government pay-scale holders by at least 50 per cent.
