EC orders withdrawal of Habiganj DC

The Election Commission (EC) has decided to withdraw Habiganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Devi Chand, reports UNB.

A notice signed by Md Mizanir Rahman, deputy secretary of the commission was issued in this regard on Monday.

The decision was taken by the commission to ensure fairness and neutrality of the 12th parliamentary election slated for January 7, it said.

The EC also ordered the Ministry of Public Administration to post a suitable officer in his place.
