ECNEC to consider 9 projects today

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) sits today (Tuesday) to consider nine development projects, including one to construct multipurpose cyclone shelters in the coastal belt of Bangladesh at a cost of Tk 1.82 billion, reports UNB. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will preside over the 27th ECNEC meeting of the current fiscal at the NEC conference room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. The other projects likely to be considered in the meeting are upazila complex extension project (Tk 7.75 billion), Barendra rain water preservation and irrigation project, 2nd phase (Tk 2.39 billion), formulation of voter list with picture and providing assistance to give national identity card and 3rd revised (Tk 5.58 billion).
