Editors' Forum pay homage to Mujib

Bangladesh Editors' Forum paid floral tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 10 to mark the anniversary of his tragic demise.

A delegation led by Editor of The Daily Observer Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, also former press adviser of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, placed a wreathe at the tomb of the independence leader of Bangladesh at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Mujib was assassinated in a late-night assault on the Dhaka home of the then President by a small group of disgruntled army officers on August 15, 1975.
