Edn should have practical usage, says Nahid

DINAJPUR, Sept 12 (UNB): Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said on Friday education should be useful for practical purposes and steps should be taken to involve the private entrepreneurs in the process, if needed.

He stated this while addressing a views-exchange meeting with teachers- students-employees of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HDSTU) at the university auditorium.

Nahid noted that education implies both knowledge and skills and the kind of education that does not have practical usage can not be considered real education and knowledge.

'Digital Bangladesh can not be turned into a reality with the traditional education," he said adding that the government has formulated the new education policy to address this concern.
