Ekram murder prime accused Minar freed

BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar, the prime accused in the murder case of Fulgazi Upazila Parishad chairman and Awami League (AL) leader Ekramul Haque, was freed from jail on bail Thursday.

He walked out of District Jail at around 3.00 pm. BNP leaders and activists received Minar at the jail gate with bouquets and escorted him to his residence in Fulgazi.

Jail Super Didarul Alam told UNB that the BNP leader was freed after a copy of the interim bail granted by the High Court (HC) reached the jail.
